Our Story — From a Personal Struggle to a Purpose-Led Startup
This journey began with two deeply personal experiences when I moved back to India. The first was something I kept ignoring for months— tossing and turning while sitting, only to finally realise that I was struggling with an intimate skin issue that needed more than temporary fixes.
The second experience came after the birth of my first baby. In many parts of Northern India, there is a traditional practice of exposing the vaginal area to the fumes of burnt herbs. While rooted in culture, it made me pause and question: Is this truly effective? Why don’t we have modern, science-backed solutions that honour our traditional wisdom while ensuring proper hygiene and skin health?
These moments pushed me to think deeply about preventive care. Ayurveda holds a wealth of knowledge, but what is the right way to use it today?
That’s when I picked up the phone and called Shivkalyani. I asked, “Can we create something better—something modern, safe, and effective—that women can trust?”
That conversation marked the start of our journey.
We began exploring essential oils, their therapeutic combinations, and how their synergy could deliver real, noticeable benefits. Eventually, we achieved a breakthrough: micro-encapsulating Ayurvedic oils, so they could release their active ingredients when triggered by acidic pH. It meant targeted action, improved effectiveness, and a smarter approach to intimate hygiene—something truly ahead of its time.
As we built the solution for women, we realised something even bigger: everyone needs preventive hygiene. This shouldn’t be a niche need—it should become a part of everyday lifestyle.
I have personally used these formulations to address many of my own skin and hygiene concerns. With every positive result, my belief has only strengthened.
Our brand was born from personal experience, shaped by years of questioning, learning, and innovating—and driven by a simple mission: to offer modern, safe, Ayurvedic-backed preventive care for all.
